This week, Chief Product Officer Pål Marius C. Brun introduces LINK Mobility Group.
What does LINK Mobility do?
LINK Mobility is a leading global provider of mobile messaging and communication solutions. We specialize in empowering businesses to effectively engage with their audiences through various mobile channels, including SMS, RCS, Email, and OTT messaging.
When did you launch and what growth have you seen?
LINK Mobility was launched back in 2001. Since then, LINK Mobility has experienced remarkable growth. Our journey has been defined by an expanding customer base and ongoing enhancements to our service portfolio. Notably, we have emerged as the preferred SMS Gateway API provider for European companies. Our commitment to innovation in messaging ensures our relevance and positions us as a clear choice for communication solutions. This dedication has empowered us to expand our reach, fostering mutually beneficial relationships with both clients and partners, and elevating us to new heights together.
What are your main goals?
Our primary goal is to enable businesses to achieve seamless interactions with their customers through innovative mobile communication solutions. We aim to continue providing reliable, secure, and effective messaging services while fostering personalized connections and driving tangible results for our customers.
Where do you see your company in three years’ time?
In three years’ time, we envision LINK Mobility as a globally recognized leader in mobile communication solutions, with an even broader reach and a deeper impact on businesses worldwide. We aspire to continue innovating, expanding our service offerings, and maintaining our commitment to excellence in customer engagement.
What aspect of mobile is most exciting to you right now?
Currently, the most exciting aspect of mobile for us is the rapid evolution of messaging technologies, particularly the advancements in RCS. These developments present exciting opportunities for businesses to engage with their customers in more interactive and immersive ways, enhancing the overall user experience.
What’s the most critical issue that will hit mobile within the next 12 months?
Ensuring data privacy and security is crucial for mobile in the next 12 months, given increasing regulatory scrutiny and evolving user expectations. With rising cyber threats like SMS fraud, maintaining the integrity of mobile communication is crucial.
In response, LINK Mobility are partnering with the Nordic mobile operators, launching a proactive solution that establishes authenticity and ensures SMS integrity in Northern Europe.
By whitelisting corporate SenderIDs, we prevent unauthorised senders from abusing them, ensuring that bad traffic is blocked and not distributed to recipients – regardless of message source. Only authorized parties can use designated SenderIDs, ensuring secure SMS communications.
As regulatory frameworks evolve and consumer awareness grows, initiatives like SMS SenderID Protection are essential for fostering trust in mobile communication platforms. Proactively addressing these concerns will help ensure that mobile remains a reliable and secure channel for communication in the future.
Apart from your own, which mobile companies are the ones to watch in the year ahead?
While we focus on providing best-in-class mobile communication solutions, there are several other companies making significant strides in the mobile industry. It’s important for LINK to watch all companies within our space, both established leaders as well as niche players.
