Asia Pacific Leads on LTE Deployments… Europe on 5G

There are currently around 663 network deployments of LTE technology worldwide, according to the latest research from MEF – equivalent to 89% of the 742 mobile network operators (MNOs) counted across the 218 markets covered by MEF Data. At the same time, 5G deployments number around 306 – equivalent to 41% of total MNOs. The Asia Pacific region has the highest penetration of LTE networks (94% of total MNOs), while Europe leads on 5G deployments (63% of total MNOs).
