iProov Threat Intelligence Uncovers New iOS Video Injection Tool Designed for Sophisticated Deepfake Attacks
iProov’s threat intelligence team has identified a new and highly advanced tool designed to conduct video injection attacks, representing a major evolution in digital identity fraud. The tool operates on jailbroken iOS 15 and later devices, allowing attackers to bypass weaker biometric verification systems and even exploit platforms that lack biometric defenses entirely. Its suspected Chinese origins raise concerns amid ongoing geopolitical tensions over technology sovereignty and supply chain security, elevating its relevance as a matter of national security. Video injection attacks differ from traditional spoofing methods by inserting malicious imagery directly into the video data stream, making them more scalable and programmatic.

“The discovery of this iOS tool marks a significant breakthrough in identity fraud and confirms the trend of industrialized attacks,” said Andrew Newell, Chief Scientific Officer at iProov. “The tool’s suspected origin is especially concerning and proves that it is essential to use a liveness detection capability that can rapidly adapt. To combat these advanced threats, organizations need multilayered cybersecurity controls informed by real-world threat intelligence—the kind analyzed by the iProov Security Operations Centre (iSOC)—combined with science-based biometrics and a liveness detection capability that can rapidly adapt to ensure a user is the right person, a real person, authenticating in real-time.”

Infobip achieves GSMA Open Gateway certifications for Network APIs
Infobip, a global communications platform, has obtained two GSMA Network API certifications—SIM Swap and Number Verification—through the CAMARA project. These achievements reinforce Infobip’s commitment to advancing the GSMA Open Gateway initiative and helping mobile network operators meet international standards. The company is already applying these APIs in practice. In France, it partnered with four major operators to demonstrate how APIs and RCS can combat fraud and strengthen digital trust in banking. In Brazil, Infobip supported all operators in launching APIs for verification, fraud prevention, and improved user experience. It will also co-host an Ideathon at Shift Zadar in Croatia.

Viktorija Radman, Telecom Growth & Strategy Director at Infobip, stated that “Achieving GSMA certifications for SIM Swap and Number Verification demonstrates our commitment to building secure, scalable solutions for operators worldwide. As a CPaaS enabler, Infobip is dedicated to helping telcos embrace new global standards and bring the benefits of Network APIs to real-world use cases. With its experience, partnerships, and developer-first approach, Infobip is helping telcos worldwide unlock new business opportunities and accelerate digital transformation.”
Henry Calvert, Head of Networks at GSMA, also stated that “Developers will explore and build use cases with certified Network APIs, including SIM Swap, Number Verification, Device Location and Know Your Customer (KYC) Match. This initiative reinforces the relevance of showcasing the scalable use of Network APIs amongst developers, and GSMA is honored to join and be one of the main drivers of this key moment at the conference.”
Cédric Gonin, Director of Telco API Business Strategy & Channel Management at Orange Livenet, pointed out that ” Infobip is helping to drive innovation in the telco ecosystem through its adoption and implementation of Network APIs for MNOs. Orange is at the forefront of these developments. At Infobip’s Shift Zadar conference, we will demonstrate how such tools can better serve our customers and protect them from fraud while helping develop the telco ecosystem globally.”

B2B Payments to Hit $224 Trillion by 2030 Globally, Driven by Emerging Market Expansion
Juniper Research projects that global B2B payments will rise from $186 trillion in 2025 to over $224 trillion by 2030, reflecting a 20% increase. This growth will be largely fueled by expanding economic activity and trade in emerging markets. The study also identifies virtual cards as the fastest-growing B2B payment method, with transaction value expected to surge by 370% over the next five years. Their configurability and seamless integration into procurement processes are key drivers behind this adoption.

“Unlocking card acceptance in emerging markets is the linchpin for the next wave of B2B card transaction growth. Supplier acceptance remains a major hurdle, but deploying low-cost acceptance solutions across key supply chain networks will accelerate adoption. This strategy positions virtual cards to ride the strong growth trajectory of emerging markets,” explained Michael Greenwood, Senior Research Analyst at Juniper Research.

DCB & Mobile Money: Building the Future Through Co-Construction
At the Global Carrier Billing Summit & Mobile Payments Summit 2025 in Amsterdam, leaders emphasized that the future of Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) and Mobile Money relies on collaboration among operators, regulators, aggregators, and service providers. These payment methods drive digital inclusion and secure, simple customer experiences, but need a collective vision to grow responsibly. A key challenge is repositioning DCB as a legitimate financial-grade product rather than a telecom feature, requiring stronger consent, transparency, fraud prevention, and effective complaint processes.

Eric Tiberghien, COO of Digital Virgo, explains: “The only way to make DCB and Mobile Money trusted and sustainable is through shared responsibility. Operators, regulators, and technology partners must align on compliance and user experience if we want this payment method to scale further.”
Guillaume Briche, CEO of Digital Virgo, notes: “We cannot build the future of mobile payments in silos. Co-construction is the engine that will allow DCB and Mobile Money to deliver on their full potential, combining inclusion, security, and growth.”
