Everyone talks CX. Almost no one delivers.
Infobip has released a new study conducted by Harvard Business Review Analytic Services (HBR-AS) that reveals a significant gap between the perceived importance of conversational customer experiences and organizations’ effectiveness in delivering them. While 93% of survey respondents acknowledge the critical importance of creating positive conversational experiences, only 36% believe their organizations are highly effective at doing so. Even more telling, just 11% say they are highly effective at using AI to deliver human-like conversations, highlighting a major challenge in implementing advanced customer engagement technologies.
While everyone talks CX, almost no one delivers. When brands can’t deliver meaningful, human-like conversations, they don’t just lose efficiency – they lose trust. It’s time to rethink what customer experience really means in the AI era.” Ben Lewis, VP Marketing and Growth at Infobip

Contactless Payment Value to Double by 2030, Reaching $18.1 Trillion, Accelerated by NFC Ticketing Roll-outs
A new study by Juniper Research forecasts that the value of contactless payment transactions will surge by 106%, reaching $7.7 trillion in 2025. A major driver of this growth is Near-field Communication (NFC) ticketing, which is expected to grow by 300% over the next five years. NFC ticketing streamlines access to transport and events through quick tap-in and tap-out functionality, reducing queues while maintaining security.
The study highlights metro transit as the key sector behind this expansion, with NFC ticketing transactions projected to rise from 11.2 billion in 2025 to 44.8 billion by 2030. To fully realize this growth, providers are encouraged to focus on interoperability across various transport modes and operators, and to work with local governments to integrate with broader smart city efforts. These strategies are expected to make contactless solutions a seamless part of everyday life, accelerating adoption.
Research author Lorien Carter commented: “This increases competition in the mobile contactless payments market; posing a direct threat to card schemes and OEM wallets. To break through the entrenched dominance of OEM wallets, new contactless payments providers must differentiate through added value such as loyalty rewards, real-time spending insights, and integrated digital ticketing capabilities.”
