Almost 45% of Smartphone Owners Use Digital Wallets for Everyday Purchases
Use of mobile or digital wallets to make everyday purchases in shops, cafes and bars via smartphones has risen by a third over the past four years from 33% in 2021 to 44% this year. When comparing like-for-like markets (from the original 10 markets surveyed by MEF in 2021), the growth has been over two-fifths – from 33% in 2020 to 46% this year. The latest findings are now available to download in MEF’s 10th Annual Consumer Trust Study.
