66% of Users Still Concerned About Data Sharing and Avoid When Possible

Two thirds of smartphone users surveyed by MEF remain concerned about the amount of their personal data that is collected when using mobile apps and services and, as a result, avoid sharing their personal data whenever possible. The figures have subsided marginally from 2023 (when compared in like-for-like markets), but remains stubbornly high falling just 2 percentage points. Moreover, suspicions remain high about advances in technology with 57% of users believing that innovation is actually making there data less secure – again down 2 pp from 2023.
