Day 1, Sunday 25th February Consumer Trust, Personal Data, Mobile Commerce, AI and Advertising

• Dario Betti, CEO – MEF

Welcome and collect people to get second audience at Consuls Halls

LUNCH FOR ALL IN LIONS HALL – An address from Steve Legge

Andrew Bud CBE FREng FIET – Founder & CEO – iProov, Global Chairman – MEF

A disruption is coming to the world of identity for apps, transactions and mobile content. Decentralised identity will arrive in Europe in two years, and in the US even sooner. This and the coming wave of deepfakes will also challenge authentication methods. How should the mobile ecosystem prepare?”

Ross Flynn, Programme Manager – MEF

Patricia Peiró Hergueta, Chief Strategy Officer – Telecoming

Gaby Bosch, CEO & Owner – Content for Mobile

No ecosystem has quite so many payment models as mobile gaming. From traditional one-time purchases of games to subscription models to freemium models, there is a truly a payment model to suit everyone. Is your business leveraging the right one?

• Tim Green, Features Editor – MEF

• Gustavo Saab, mVAS and Affiliate Growth Specialist – Google

Google Ads for Mobile Content: A Studycase.  Explore campaign best practices, landing page essentials, policy compliance, and optimization key areas for maximum impact.

• Nick Rossman, Director of Products – MEF
• Bradley Greer, VP, Data Solutions & Product Marketing – netnumber
Between spam and robo calls, spoofed brand communications, and
untrustworthy text baiting, it’s not surprising that customer trust in answering phone
calls or text messages is deteriorating — quickly. Alternative communications
platforms and services are out there, but many customers find them cost-prohibitive
or riddled still with unwanted ads. At the same time, it seems that no matter how
many unknown callers or text messages are blocked, more take their place. Mobile
communications were built to make our world more connected, more easily
navigable and convenient, but today’s results are less than ideal thanks to rampant
infiltration by unwanted actors. How can our industry regain trust and not only give
customers control over their mobile reality, but confidence in their communications?
In this session, hear from Bradley Greer, Vice President, Data Solutions & Product
Marketing for netnumber, a global leader in phone number intelligence data, as he
explores the current gaps and opportunities in mobile feedback strategies.
Attendees will delve deep into questions like: What kind of data needs to be
assessed or strengthened to prevent unwanted contact with the unknown, and
when it does get through to end users, what is the process like to prevent it from
happening again? When a phone number is reported or marked as spam, where
does that data go, and is it being used effectively to benefit the user?

Day 2, Monday 26th February Messaging, Anti Fraud, Mobile IoT, Roaming, Wholesale, AI, Innovation, Telco APIs and RCS

Nick Lane, Chief Messaging Officer – Mobilesquared

1.1 – Look at the price elasticity of international SMS and how this is impacting traffic
1.2 – Look at where SMS pricing (international vs domestic for SMS) is right now, how these rates compare to WhatsApp Business use cases, and what this will mean for RCS adoption.
1.3 – Explore how engagement is charged for on non-messaging channels, to see how conversation should be charged on WhatsApp and RCS, etc.
1.4 – which channel will come out on top

Phone numbers and the calls and messages sent between them on a global scale
form today’s mission-critical communications network. High levels of dynamic, real-time chats
and interactions are a must-have for both business and personal use cases — however, that
dynamic nature presents complexity for fraud prevention and routing behind the scenes.
Today, communications service providers and other players in the mobile ecosystem must be
able to reliably and accurately screen for fraud activity while meeting stringent new U.S. and
global mandates — without creating so much as a hiccup. With phone numbers being ported
daily en masse or routing origination and termination spots going from valid to invalid at any
time, it’s a formidable challenge — unless organizations have the right data insights. In this session, join industry experts as they discuss how routing and fraud prevention can be
optimized with the help of real-time, granular and normalized phone number intelligence data.
The audience will gain a deeper understanding of the must-haves for today’s vetting and
validation practices and learn what tools in the market are highly advanced to serve this
purpose.
