West Europe Leads the World in Active Mobile Users!
The economic area of West Europe, stretching from the shores of the Mediterranean Sea to the the Arctic coast of Norway, is one of the world’s wealthiest regions and provides great opportunity for enterprise sales and marketing and, specifically, in the mobile ecosystem! According to the latest research from MEF, West Europe had the highest rate of active mobile users in the world at the end of 2024 – with 392 million of the region’s 429 million population regularly active on mobile – equivalent to 91.4% of the total population. Moreover, since 2020 the total population across West Europe has risen by a little more than1.3 million while, over the same period, the total number of active mobile users increased by more than 19 million. And when we count just the economically active population, those with bank accounts aged 15 and over, the rate of active mobile users jumps further! Out of 365 million people aged 15 and over at the end of last year, more than 351 million were active mobile users – equivalent to 96.2% of the adult population.
