Mobile Payments Most Likely to Be Used Online
The vast majority of smartphone users surveyed by MEF now use mobile payments and are most likely to when buying goods or services from an online store. In total, 83% of respondents use either Direct Carrier Billing, Digital Wallets or inputting card details when shopping – with 45% doing so online; 42% do so to pay for subscriptions services (such as Netflix & Spotify); 37% in physical shops; 29% for one-time app downloads, and; 23% for parking and other ticketing services.
