Mexico: AI and Age-Restricted Content Seen as Top Areas for Regulation

Smartphone users in Mexico are most concerned about regulating access to age-restricted content on the internet, according to the latest consumer survey results from MEF. A total of 59% of users thought ensuring age-restricted content cannot be accessed by the wrong people should be the top priority in terms of regulation – a rise of 3 percentage points since 2023. However. the largest rise was seen for regulation of Artificial Intelligence applications – up 9-points to 44% of users in 2025.
