The MEF and the Canadian Telecommunications Association Announce Partnership for Canadian Focused Leadership Forum

The MEF and the Canadian Telecommunications Association are proud to announce their partnership to bring the industry together for a one-day event in Toronto on Tuesday, July 18th, 2023. The event will focus on the latest trends and technologies in text messaging, including the role of trust, identity, and interoperability.

Commemorating 20 Years of A2P Messaging in Canada

Commemorating 20 years of A2P messaging in Canada, the event will precede the Canadian Telecommunications Association’s invite-only membership MCC meeting. Leaders from Cisco, Twilio, Sinch, and major Canadian wireless operators like Bell, Rogers and Telus  will be in attendance.

Agenda Highlights:

  1. Keynotes and talks from industry visionaries
  2. Panel discussions where insiders share key challenges facing the industry
  3. Fireside chats and talks from startups pushing the boundaries of innovation in new ways
  4. Trust, Identity, and Interoperability

One of the key topics that will be discussed at the conference is trust. With the rise of fake news and misinformation, it has become increasingly important to ensure that messaging platforms are secure and that the information being shared is accurate. Similarly, identity verification in text messaging is critical. As more personal and sensitive information is shared over text, it is essential to have systems in place to verify the identity of the sender of the message.

Universal interoperability is the superpower of messaging. Together with trust, and identity, the three form a virtuous loop that keeps the messaging medium pristine.

Join Us in Toronto

We invite you to join us in Toronto for a day of thought-provoking discussions and valuable networking opportunities. Connect with key telco stakeholders all across the value chain from operators, aggregators, enterprises and of course, with each other. Bringing the Cloud to the network edge represents the next frontier of innovation and digital transformation, and creates new opportunities for mobile operators and enterprises.
