As part of MEF’s Future of Messaging Programme, MEF co-hosted a workshop in Johannesburg with the South African Banking Risk Information Centre (SABRIC). All the local banks and network operators attended to discuss how the mobile ecosystem can enable better industry collaboration to combat consumer messaging fraud in banking. MEF members shared use cases from different markets and COO Joanne Lacey facilitated a lively roundtable discussion on local market challenges focused on SIM SWAP and fraudulent mobile number porting.
