X Users Undeterred by Rising Tide of Mis/Disinformation

Users of X (nee Twitter) are a hardy bunch, according to the latest consumer research conducted by MEF, with an average 3 percentage point rise in the number of people who trust the content they read on the social media platform. Of the 14 markets with comparable results in 2024, just four saw a downturn in trust – Spain, Indonesia, the UK and, perhaps unsurprisingly, Brazil.
