43% of Americans Have No Trust in Government’s Use and Care of Their Personal Data

Following on from this week’s Presidential debate in the USA between the respective candidates, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, it is worth noting that trust among American smartphone users of how government organisations use and look after their personal data is at an all-time low! The proportion of users in the USA who have no trust in government has risen from 38% in 2022 to 43% this year – against an average of 30% in the same period across 15 markets surveyed by MEF.
