58% Think Personal Data is Less Secure Due to Advances in Technology

A majority of smartphone users surveyed by MEF across 13 countries worldwide believe that advances in technology are actually making their online personal data less secure. The most negative views towards technological advancements impacting personal data security were seen in Canada, China, Mexico and South Africa where 64% of people agreed with the statement, versus a low of 48% in Japan.
