Perception of change
The developing economies of China, Mexico, South Africa, India and Brazil have all seen large improvements in the perception by users that their personal data will be kept private while on the internet. According to MEF’s latest Global Consumer Trust survey, an average of 67% of consumers in these markets thought options to manage their privacy had improved, against just 42% in more developed economies (US, Canada, UK, Spain, Germany, Italy, France & Japan).
