China’s Love-Affair with The Dating App

On average, 21% of us now use a dating app to find love, and, on average, there is no more than 5% difference between the most loved-up of us and the most lovelorn. However, according to the latest consumer survey results from MEF, two countries buck the trend when it comes to swiping – China and Japan! A massive 51% of smartphone users in China (over double the average) like to swipe for love. In Japan, meanwhile, just 10% (half the average) use apps to find a mate.
