Strategic Advisor to Assurant

Michael is an internationally recognized identity & personal information management solutions strategic advisor, speaker, entrepreneur, and academic. He advises companies on personal information economy business strategy, product development, business development, and sales & marketing strategies. Michael is an advisor to Assurant, Predii, Privowny, and Phoji. A serial entrepreneur, Michael founded Identity Praxis, co-founded mCordis and The Connected Marketer Institute, was a founding member of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA), and was on the MMA board of directors for ten years and was MMA’s North American Managing Director for three years.

Trevor Goldberg - Boku
VP Business Development

Trevor Goldberg works at Boku in the UK and has responsibility for Business Development in Emerging markets, such as Africa and the Middle East. Trevor has worked in mobile industry for the past 15 years, alongside carriers, content providers, device manufactures, global portals, regulatory bodies and other players in the mobile ecosystem. Trevor served a 2-year term on the MEF Asia board from 2015, working with carriers and merchants, supporting and championing the numerous programs and initiatives.

Dawood Ghalaieny - Cellusys
CEO

Dawood has come from a long history within the mobile ecosystem beginning at the edge with mobile parking, growing into mobile marketing and pioneering the regulatory framework of set tariff SMS shortcodes in Ireland as early as 2001. After leading Ireland's introduction to mobile marketing Dawood moved closer within the mobile network. He is currently CEO at Cellusys whose systems at the core of controlling signalling for security, roaming as well as mobile broadband and IoT in mobile networks serving over 600 million subscribers.

Julian Ranger - digi.me
Executive Chairman & Founder

Passionate about the power of personal data, Julian is an aeronautical engineer specialising in interoperability and the military internet, who built his first company into a major multi-national business before selling to Lockheed Martin.

Andrew Bud - iProov
Founder & CEO

Andrew has been the Chairman of the Global Board of MEF since 2008. He helped found MEF in 2001 and has been re-elected to its Board every two years since then without interruption. The founder and CEO of iProov, a pioneer in usable biometric identity authentication for mobile transactions, Andrew was also Founder, CEO and Executive Chairman of mBlox, the SMS aggregator.

Waheed Adam - iTouch Messaging Services
Executive Chairman

Waheed Adam, once a young activist and today better described as a serial entrepreneur began his career at the young age of 22 after being rejected for his skills due to his race and young age in apartheid South Africa. He lives by the motto “through tragedy comes opportunity” and did exactly that when in 1988 he started his first company today known as the Prime Group, its core focus being the various disciplines of the mobile tech sector, both in SA and abroad.
Waheed’s personal passion to making South Africa a better place is highlighted by his commitment to working with various NGO’s that focus on youth.

Frank Joshi - Mvine
Managing Director

Frank is a seasoned executive, entrepreneur and investor, with over 28 years of experience in building and leading successful technology businesses. As Managing Director, Frank is responsible for driving the company’s strategy and development in line with the goals and aspirations of Mvine’s customers, and Frank has been a director of numerous other start-ups, including Knowledge Peers, as well as an angel investor.

James Lasbrey - Nexmo
Carrier Relations Director

James is a technology expert with a passion for helping businesses communicate effectively with their customers. As Carrier Relations Director for Nexmo, James is responsible for making sure that Nexmo's leading communication platform is connected to every market globally. Prior to Nexmo, James led messaging for O2 UK and went onto run Telefonica's global messaging business. During this period, James was a main board Director for MEF where he worked with both enterprises, operators and regulators to create the 'Future of messaging program'.

Robert Gerstmann - Sinch
Chief Evangelist & Co-Founder

As Chief Evangelist Robert is a brand ambassador for Sinch and drives growth strategy by providing input and direction to the product and technology teams and by engaging with customers and partners around the globe. In founding and growing CLX and previously working for Mblox, Robert has been in the mobile enterprise communications space for over 15 years and is an incumbent on the global MEF board and previously served on the EMEA board between 2015-2017.
