The EU’s Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) is the first cybersecurity standard for IoT globally. Once in force, it will set a precedent for regulatory frameworks and policies well beyond the EU, with stronger influence across all industries compared to current legislation, including the UKs PSTI Bill and EU Radio Equipment. In addition to a broader agenda, the CRA also carries enforcement capabilities, with fines and penalties of up to 15 million euros or 2.5% of annual turnover.
