Introducing Uniti – The Open Gateway API platform that puts revenue first.

Traditional telecom operators are under increasing pressure to innovate and generate new revenue streams while competing with OTT players. Uniti offers an all-in-one API monetization platform that enables telecom companies to transform into “techcos” by leveraging their network assets for immediate revenue without costly infrastructure changes or complex integrations. Designed for seamless deployment, Uniti provides a quick-to-market solution to capitalize on Open Gateway APIs, helping telecom operators efficiently monetize their network intelligence.

Operators hold some of the world’s most valuable digital assets – their customers and network intelligence – but unlocking their full potential has remained challenging. Uniti changes that by handling both the technology and the sales, ensuring that APIs are not just deployed but actively generating revenue. “Other platforms give operators the tools and say, ‘Now go sell it.’ We start from revenue and provide everything needed to go to market successfully,” said Gautam Hazari, Chief Technology Officer. “With Uniti, operators don’t just get an API platform—they get a fully managed monetisation engine and the go-to-market experience that’s our core business.”

netnumber and WMC Global Unveil Fraud Prevention Registry Amid Rising Unlawful Robocalling and Texting Across Telecom, Business and Financial Services

Netnumber has introduced its Fraud Prevention Registry (FPR) in collaboration with WMC Global to combat rising digital fraud, particularly in banking and financial services. With over $12.5 billion in reported losses due to messaging and digital crimes, the FPR serves as a telecom industry solution to prevent illegal robocalling and text fraud. The registry enables rapid fraud data sharing among communication service providers, telecom carriers, and enterprises, allowing members to quickly respond to threats.

Initially launching in North America with plans for global expansion, the FPR operates as a consortium-based registry, tracking phone numbers linked to phishing and fraud. It leverages millions of reported fraudulent numbers, including those from financial institutions and WMC Global’s proprietary data sources, to create a more secure communications ecosystem.

“We’ve created a secure registry that enables participants to share information about fraudulent phone number activities in real time,” said Steve Legge, CEO of netnumber. “Industry leaders have long recognized the importance of sharing fraud data but didn’t have a safe, reliable, and real-time mechanism to do it. We believe the FPR will enable better fraud detection and prevention efforts and prove to be a very effective means of combating this ongoing problem.”

“The Fraud Prevention Registry at its core is about collecting and sharing data to protect the broadest group possible,” said Ian Matthews, WMC Global CEO. “This partnership has resulted in a massive step forward for the entire fraud prevention industry. We, together with netnumber, stand between the sources of this intelligence and those that can most adequately use it to combat fraud. WMC Global acts as a technical intermediary, and our ability to identify and extract intelligence from mobile attacks serves as a foundation of the registry.”

Claro Sports offers AI-powered chatbot for sports fans using Google RCS and Infobip technology

Claro Sports, a Latin American sports television channel owned by América Móvil, has partnered with global cloud communications platform Infobip to develop an AI-powered chatbot for sports fans in Mexico. Utilizing Google’s Rich Communication Services (RCS) technology, the chatbot delivers real-time updates during sports events.

Originally launched as “Paris is Yours” during a major summer sports event in Paris in 2024, it provided users with competition results, athlete notifications, and key event details. Over an 11-day period, Claro Sports viewers engaged actively with the chatbot, exchanging more than 34,000 messages to stay informed about their favorite athletes and sporting events.

We’re delighted to work together with Claro Sports on this development. RCS is establishing itself in Mexico, and in many other countries in the world, as a key channel for customer engagement, combining the reliability of SMS with the advanced features of modern messaging apps. Integration with AI and chatbots are transforming customer conversational experiences. Major sporting events represent an excellent opportunity to demonstrate this potential.” Dave Boddington, Group Product Manager at Infobip
