GMS Helps Oschadbank Increase Customer Satisfaction with the Implementation of Free Calls via Viber

Baar, Switzerland — May 29, 2024 — GMS, the AI communications solutions partner for Mobile Operators and Enterprises worldwide, proudly announces the successful implementation of Viber Business Calls for Oschadbank, Ukraine’s largest universal state-owned bank. This solution has significantly improved the bank’s customer service, particularly for customers outside Ukraine, and increased customer satisfaction.

GMS offered Oschadbank a solution in the form of Viber business calls — a free communication channel that uses Viber’s voice technology for real-time interaction. This solution allowed the bank’s customers to quickly contact the support service regardless of their location for free, using the Internet instead of mobile networks.

“Viber business calls are an effective alternative to regular mobile phone calls, which is especially relevant for our clients currently living outside Ukraine. We have received a lot of positive feedback about this option and express our gratitude to Rakuten Viber and GMS for helping us implement it,” said Anton Tyutyun, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Oschadbank, responsible for retail business.

Anti-money Laundering Systems Spend Outside the Financial Sector to Reach $6.3 Billion Globally by 2028; Driven by Emerging Regulation

Basingstoke, UK – 21st May 2024: A new study by Juniper Research, the foremost experts in fintech and payments markets, found that the global spend on AML (Anti-money Laundering) systems from non-financial institutions will grow 170% over the next four years; rising from $2.3 billion in 2024.

This substantial growth will be driven by a tightening of regulatory requirements; necessitating areas such as legal and real estate sectors to adopt comprehensive AML systems to monitor and reduce potential fraud.

In order to better manage financial crime risk, AML solutions must be able to respond to dynamic changes in watchlists or adverse media, and analyse customers’ behaviour against established indicators of suspicious and non-suspicious activity.

Research author Daniel Bedford commented: “AML systems vendors must foster partnerships with an extensive range of data providers to allow for real-time updates from respected news sources and risk types. These collaborations will enable AML systems to more readily analyse behavioural attributes and assess risk.”

5G Roaming Revenues To Reach $30 Billion By 2028

22nd May 2024, London, UK:  New research by roaming experts Kaleido Intelligence forecasts that retail and wholesale revenues for roaming connections will reach $30 billion by 2028. Kaleido also predicts that the global 5G roaming traffic will represent 78% of total traffic in 2028, a significant increase from under 10% in 2023.

While 5G Standalone (SA) roaming will unlock the full potential of 5G technology, delivering true capabilities and enabling new use cases, 5G Non-Standalone (NSA) roaming remains the more immediate focus for mobile operators. According to Kaleido’s latest 5G Roaming MNO Survey conducted in Q1 2024, approximately 72% of participating operators plan to launch 5G NSA roaming by the end of 2025, while over 32% aim to introduce 5G SA within the same timeframe.

Dawnn Dinsey, Research Analyst at Kaleido Intelligence added: “5G NSA roaming adoption continues to gain momentum, bringing with it an increase in both connections and data consumption, leading to incremental revenues for operators. However, to seamlessly transition to 5G SA roaming and target new use cases for continued growth, mobile operators must prioritise addressing fundamental technological requirements with their roaming vendors and partner providers.”
