What does Intenful do?
Intentful is an AI-first company. We add AI and data to content-related workflows to achieve unprecedented efficiencies in content creation and distribution. Our capabilities go beyond ChatGPT.
ChatGPT is a large language model optimized for generating human-like conversations, relying on pre-trained knowledge from the open internet and offering more general responses.
Intentful takes it further, offering a tailored, business-specific solution by incorporating a wide range of use cases and data sources, e.g., customer interests, e-commerce or search insights, etc., as well as brand style and proprietary knowledge. We configure custom-built processes optimized to the company’s exact needs and objectives.
When did you launch and what growth have you seen?
We started in the spring of 2021, and in June 2021 were accepted into OpenAI’s beta program with a use case of bringing together data insights with the power of LLM to create relevant, data-driven content at scale. Generative AI capabilities were very different in 2021, but it was immediately clear that AI was about to change everything.
Because it was a year and a half before the launch of ChatGPT and there was no awareness about generative AI like it is today, Intentful’s co-founders, Marina and Bruce, spent a lot of time advancing the use of gen AI around the world – from presentations at conferences and corporate meetings to educational institutions like Oxford or Columbia Startup Lab.
We had several truly innovative clients who quickly realized the potential of AI – we launched our first commercial project in the fall of 2021. Since then, both Intentful and our clients continue seeing growth and constantly launching new use cases and applying AI across more departments and disciplines.
What are your main goals?
Our primary goal at Intentful is to empower businesses, regardless of their size or the sector they’re in, with cutting-edge AI technology. We’re committed to fueling advancement while keeping it grounded in the business realities. Our focus is not just on innovation, but on creating real-world applications that drive tangible business results.
Where do you see your company in three years’ time?
In three years’ time, we see Intentful as a leading pioneer in the AI industry, providing our intelligent solutions to numerous businesses worldwide. We also envision enhancing our AI capabilities to cope with constantly evolving digital landscapes, ensuring our system can cater to any changes in content and information trends and strategies.
What aspect of mobile is most exciting to you right now?
We have been fascinated by how mobile is becoming a much more valuable tool for customer engagement, being able to reach people at unimaginable scale, yet interact one-on-one. Conversational AI is being reinvented in 2023 – the increasing adoption of AI and machine learning has the potential of transforming user experience even further.
What’s the most critical issue that will hit mobile within the next 12 months?
Data privacy will be the most critical issue. As AI capabilities and mobile usage continue to grow, the balancing act between personalization and protecting user privacy will become more complex.
Organizations, regulators, and tech developers will need to work hand in hand to create robust yet dynamic privacy policies and systems that can adapt to a rapidly changing digital landscape, setting standards that are consumer-friendly, fair and ethical.
Apart from your own, which mobile companies are the ones to watch in the year ahead?
We believe it’s important to watch all companies of the mobile space as the technologies, and AI in particular, are advancing the world at unprecedented speeds. It requires an agile mindset, being ready to change, and quickly adapt to new trends and opportunities.
