Neustar Acquires Verisign’s Security Services Customer Contracts
Neustar®, Inc., a trusted, neutral provider of real-time information services, today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with VeriSign, Inc. to acquire Verisign’s Security Services customer contracts.
The acquisition consists of Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Protection, Managed DNS, DNS Firewall and fee-based Recursive DNS services customer contracts.
Trusted by the world’s largest brands, Neustar will provide Verisign’s former Security Services’ customers with exceptional service and world-class support backed by a global cloud infrastructure and a broad security services portfolio.

RealNetworks and Seventh Introduce SAFR™ Facial Recognition to Latin America
RealNetworks, a global leader in digital media announced today that it has partnered with Seventh, a leader in video monitoring and access control solutions in Brazil, to bring the SAFR facial recognition platform to Seventh’s portfolio of integrators and resellers in Brazil and the rest of Latin America.
This agreement marks the first SAFR integration partnership in Brazil since the launch of SAFR in July 2018. NIST (NIST.gov) ranked SAFR as one of the top facial recognition algorithms in the world for “Wild Faces” FNMR, complementing its outstanding 99.8% accuracy rating against the University of Massachusetts’ database for Labeled Faces in the Wild (LFW).
On a global scale, SAFR technology has already detected, identified and delivered results on millions of faces for customers and partners who sought facial recognition on the Macintosh, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android platforms—where RealNetworks has deployed its core technology.

Syntonic Names Former RealNetworks Executive Ricardo Cidale Head of Sales in the Americas; Managing Director in Brazil
Syntonic, a mobile platform and services provider based in Seattle and traded on the Australia stock exchange (ASX.SYT), today announced that former RealNetworks executive Ricardo Cidale has joined the company as head of sales in the Americas and managing director of its recently incorporated Brazil subsidiary, Syntonic Brasil Tecnologia Ltd.
Cidale is a veteran serial entrepreneur with a successful track record of building and operating businesses in the Americas with a focus on telecom, media, enterprise and government. Previously, Cidale held executive positions with companies that, in addition to RealNetworks, include Compaq Computer Corporation and Dell Technologies, among others.
