MYPINPAD partners with POS hardware suppler Datecs

MYPINPAD has announced a partnership with Datecs, a leading manufacturer and developer of innovative POS hardware, to deliver a PCI compliant PIN on Mobile (PoM) solution.

Islamabad Office Opening Marks Infobip’s Expansion into Pakistan

Infobip, the global cloud communications provider for enterprises opened its offices in Islamabad on Thursday Nov 23rd

The office is part of an instrumental expansion in the South Asia region and will provide the company more in-depth understanding of local market conditions. The Pakistan office will allow Infobip to develop its business relationships and partnerships further broadening its wide network of clients and partners.

Trunomi wins big at global fintech event

Bermudian financial technology start-up Trunomi scooped a major international prize by winning the Global Fintech Hackcelerator competition in Singapore.

The company, which has developed a data rights management platform, was one of the three winners to each receive a $50,000 prize at the event after pitching on stage to a panel of judges at the Singapore Fintech Festival.

Stuart Lacey, Trunomi’s founder and chief executive officer said “This is the biggest fintech event in the world with over 25,000 attendees from the entire Asia Pacific region — and Trunomi just won — it’s incredible.”

“This truly establishes Bermudian-born Trunomi in the eyes of the world. We are coming home with about $100,000 in cash and prizes. It’s a recognition that our data rights platform has come of age and is a necessary part of the modernisation of the global financial services industry — and that the opportunities around it are bigger than anyone ever thought.”

Wirecard, Capital Float join hands to offer small retailers quick customised loans 

Global financial technology company Wirecard has entered into an alliance with Capital Float, an Indian digital lending platform. Through this alliance, Capital Float will offer its recently launched ‘Proprietor Finance’ product to Wirecard’s agents, comprising thousands of small retailers in India. The goal is to offer these retailers a unique revolving credit facility called ‘Pay Later’. Developed in-house at Capital Float, this working capital finance solution helps SMEs to make vendor paymens on time.

Netflix, Deutsche Telekom Ink Global Partnership

Deutsche Telekom has signed a global partnership with Netflix which will allow the German telco group to distribute exclusive content from Netflix to its subscribers.

Under the deal, Deutsche Telekom customers in Germany, Poland and the Netherlands have already gained access to Netflix content.

“We want to ensure the best content offering and TV experience for our customers and will work with Netflix to further expand our great partnership”, said Thomas Kicker, senior VP of group partnering at Deutsche Telekom.
