MEF Connects Indonesia in pictures

By February 27, 2015March 19th, 2015MEF Asia

Last month MEF Asia hosted the first ever MEF Connects Indonesia in Jakarta in association with Indosat. The event was co-located on the first evening of  Mobile Money & Digital Payments Asia and supported by Bango and Daily Social. MEF Asia GM Linda Ruck shares the highlights and photos from the night.

The evening started with the keynote presentation by Randy Pangalila, Group Head, Mobile Financial Services at Indosat and was followed by a fast paced panel moderated by Rama Mamuaya from Daily Social discussing  “Doing business in the world’s fourth largest mobile market”. The panel featured Arief Widhiyasa, Founder & CEO, Agate Studio, Bao Jianlei, Managing Director, Baidu Indonesia, Trevor Goldberg, VP Mobile Operator Business Development, Bango and Steve Vickers, General Manager Southeast Asia, Xiaomi.

At the event, MEF launched the 2015 Indonesian Country Report supported by Ooredoo, part of the Global Consumer Survey series. Mirroring the discussions, the report identified Indonesia as a key growth market and a truly “mobile-first” nation. With data on consumer habits across areas such as mHealth, mobile education, banking and the apps economy, the report explores how Indonesian consumers are shown to buy more, spend more, and engage more via mobile than almost any other country surveyed in the series.

Thanks to our gracious hosts Indosat, and sponsors Bango and Daily Social for making the event such as success. Check out the photos from the evening below.
