The fifth quarterly edition of MEF’s Mobile Money eBulletin is now available for download.  Packed with articles, news insights and analysis the free eBulletin examines the issues, trends and business models that are shaping the mobile money sector.

In this edition Carrier Billing is under the spotlight with insight on the market drivers that are helping to facilitate growth in new markets from Sukey Miller, VP of Marketing at MEF member, Bango.

Following last month’s MEF Innovation Meet-Up in association with Barclays Accelerator London there’s also a showcase of the ten startups that pitched their concepts to MEF members.

Alongside news and analysis, MEF Minute features editor, Tim Green, provides a useful view from the conference floor from his recent visit to Money 20/20 Europe where he chaired a MEF panel debate.

Other regular features include an updated quarterly Mobile Money Landscape infographic that illustrates where all of the significant players fit in to the growing Mobile Money ecosystem and a 12-point round-up on the statistics that forecast where future growth will come from.

Mobile Money is a key focus for MEF as it grows in importance as a frontline mobile service. MEF’s Mobile Money Programme continues to provide tools and resources designed to facilitate growth in the industry.

For example, MEF’s recently launched PSD2 Guidelines offer an essential guide for members to understand the opportunities and changes ushered in by this new regulation. MEF is also currently preparing its new Global Consumer Survey which studies user behaviours around mobile payments and banking in nine countries. The results – available later this year – will index consumer attitudes towards mobile money, offering valuable insights to help shape consumer strategy.

The quarterly Mobile Money eBulletin delivers both a useful resource and important perspective on what’s happening in the sector.

Filled with insights, interviews and case studies from industry experts, we track the industry’s news and progress around the globe to help understand how the global mobile money ecosystem is taking shape.
