MEF_9062MEF, has announced the results of its 2014 North America and LatAm board elections for the 2015/2016 term.  In total ten new regional Board Directors were elected by MEF members during second annual MEF Global Forum in Silicon Valley.  Each Board member will contribute to the direction of MEF, helping the organization to champion initiatives around mobile money, consumer trust, innovation and monetization across the international ecosystem.

Rick Fant, VP Planning and Ecosystems at Mozilla is elected as the new Chairman for MEF’s North American board and is joined by newly elected Co-Vice Chairs, Charlotte Fors, VP of Sales Americas, mBlox and Todd Daubert, Partner, Technology, Media and Telecoms, Dentons.  Five other directors were also elected, joining incumbent board directors representing KPMG, Paypal, RealNetworks and Vodafone.

Filipe Roup Rosa, Latam Business Development Director at Boku is re-elected as the Chairman of MEF LatAm and is joined by Co-Vice Chairs, the newly appointed Leonardo Hilário, Advertising Planning & Project Manager, Telefonica and re-elected Arturo Galván, Founder & CEO Naranya.  Beatriz Núñez, Director, Global Mobile at Terra Networks (LatAm) was also elected to serve on the Latin America Board.

The elections took place at the second annual MEF Global Forum, in San Francisco, attended by over 350 international senior mobile executives who participated in a unique three-day event connecting innovators to mobile leaders across 30 markets and showcasing the latest mobile content and commerce trends globally.
